Her debut single Here in 2015 when she was aged 19. The single garnered a lot of attention and was well-liked by both listeners and critics. The song reached the top spot in both Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone listed the hit as among the Top Songs in 2015. The same year, she dropped her debut album Know It All with the third single Scars to Your Beautiful being one of the five original songs which peaked on the Billboard charts. This includes those of the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100. The song was particularly memorable due to her interview with the Rap-Up show, many fans related to her journey of doubting herself and learning how to accept herself. Cara is known for incorporating the themes of mental health and compassion and self-love in her songs. She's been in the midst of anxiety and insomnia, both of which have influenced her journey. When she spoke to Reuters, she said that her album was "half tumultuous" and "half perfect". The singer says that she experienced growth in therapy. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on the 11th of July 1996. Her parents bought her a new guitar, which she used to discover her love for music. When she was 13, she started covering songs she liked on YouTube to demonstrate to her fans that she had talent and had the courage to pursue a career as an artist. Sweater Weather became her most famous song. An album label, EP Entertainment, noticed her and let her compose songs.
