Coleman was born in Blackpool Lancashire. Coleman attended Arnold School in Blackpool where she was the head girl. She also received straight As on her A-levels. When Coleman was asked about her Emmerdale character she stated she regretted not to have had an experience like the traditional one at university. Coleman was at the high school system, was a member of the theatre company In Yer Space. They staged the play Crystal Clear for the Edinburgh Festival. In addition to being awarded a prize for acting skills, the show that she performed was well-received. Coleman was offered the role of Jasmine Thomas while she was in auditions at the drama schools. It happened in 2005. In 2007, Coleman was awarded two Awards. In the British Soap Awards she was named Best Newcomer, and at the National Television Awards she was nominated as The Most Popular Newcomer. The 2009 British Soap Awards she was nominated for categories such as the Best Actress Sexiest Female and Best Dramatic Performance categories. Coleman was nominated for Best Actress by the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat of Doctor Who announced in a news conference held on the 21st of March, 2012, that Coleman would be replacing Karen Gillan after she and Arthur Darvill had left. Moffat stated that he picked Coleman to be the companion due to her ability to work best with Smith. In addition, Moffat noted that she talked faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She has been active in the film industry since 1987. She is however, more known for TV projects than movies. Eva is well-known for her roles as Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children and as the detective Natalia Boa Vistas from CSI Miami. It was the former that earned Eva two nominations for a 'Daytime Emmy. Additionally, she was able to showcase her creativity via music. Eva is, along with acting, is an entrepreneur and philanthropist. Eva has had three marriages and has a daughter from her previous husband.
