Coleman is from Lancashire. Coleman was head of the class in the Arnold School, Blackpool and was awarded straight A's on her A-levels. In response to questions about her Emmerdale character she stated she regretted that she did not have an experience like the traditional one at university. Coleman was as Crystal Clear at the Edinburgh Festival as part of a group called In Yer Space, which she performed in during her time in the school. The performance received praise with a prestigious award, and the production was praised by the critics. Coleman was given the part as Jasmine Thomas at Emmerdale while trying out for drama classes in 2005. Coleman was nominated twice in the year 2007. She won as the Best Newcomer of 2007 at British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. Coleman was awarded nominations in the categories of Best Actress, Sexiest Woman and for the Best Dramatic Performance during the British Soap Awards 2009. Coleman received a nomination for Best Actress at the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat, the producer of Doctor Who confirmed in a 21st March press conference in 2012 that Coleman will be Matt Smith's character following the departure of Karen Gillan left. Moffat chose her due to her ability to work alongside Smith as well as the fact that she was faster at speaking than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Since 1987, she's been involved in television and film projects. Eva has been prominent on TV as opposed to films. Eva's TV roles on The Dr. Maria Santos, in All My Children, and the role of Detective Natalia Boa Vista in CSI Miami are notable. Eva was nominated for the two "Daytime Emmys" for her first part as well as having the an opportunity to explore her artistic talents. Eva is an entrepreneur, philanthropist and an philanthropist. Eva is married to three men and has one child born from the third.
